While Motorola have yet to show off any smartwatch, much less a flexible display smartwatch they seem like one of the more likely companies to do so. Not only is Motorola responsible for many of the world's firsts in the mobile phone industry, they also have big pockets Google backing them up. Recent patent applications from Motorola suggest that we could see a flexible display smartwatch from them before long. The patent looks like a standard interlinked metal watch band with a flexible display overlay but there don't seem to be any other tech specs or features that may make it more unique. Since this is still just a patent application there are no Malaysia release dates yet, but it does mean that Motorola are planning something in the smartwatch department, so stay tuned.

Smartwatch devices are on the rise and it doesn't come as a surprise that rumours have popped up saying that Nokia will come out with a smartwatch of their own. What does come as a surprise is that the rumours say that the new smartwatch will use Morph technology which involves the use of smart nanotechnology materials. Bear in mind that Nokia's Morph tech isn't something new and was first demoed as concept renders way back in 2008. It was futuristic then and it remains so now, so we're rather skeptical that a Nokia Morph smartwatch could come anytime soon. Be that as it may, the Nokia smartwatch is rumoured to arrive in after Q2 of 2014. The actual quote referring the Nokia Morph is listed below:
"nanoscale technologies that will potentially create a world of radically different devices that open up an entirely new spectrum of possibilities"
As always, take this rumour with a pinch of salt but do check out the pics and videos of Nokia Morph and other Nokia flexible display technologies in this article as well.

While we've yet to hear any concrete reports on the rumoured Apple iPhone 6 and possible 12.9-inch Apple iPad, rumours about the release date have surfaced quite regularly. Just like before, the latest release date rumours come from the supply chain or the manufacturers making the parts of these upcoming Apple devices. According to these sources, the Apple iPhone 6 could be coming in May 2014 with tech specs that include a 20nm 64-bit processor, beating the previous 28nm fabrication process of the Apple A7 processor. No news on naming for the processor yet, but it could just as well be an A7X or overclocked version of the previous processor. Others are saying the new iPhone could also bump the screen size up to 4.7-inches or 5.5-inches but these larger sized models are rumoured for Q3 of 2014. The supposedly larger 12.9-inch display Apple iPad version supposedly known as the iPad Pro may be released in October 2014 and is headed for select business and educational markets. As always do take this rumour with a pinch of salt.

The previously reported Samsung GamePad looks to be getting the combo treatment as it is now available bundled with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Game Edition. It also comes with a HDMI adapter which sort of reveals Samsung's intentions. Rather than use the Tab 3 8.0 attached to the GamePad (too heavy and doesn't fit), you're supposed to hook up the tablet to a HDTV and use it like a console with the GamePad connecting via Bluetooth 4.0. Unfortunately, the dual-core Tab 3 8.0 isn't really the best Android based console there is in terms of performance but it should do for now. Hopefully, Samsung will hook up the GamePad with more game capable devices or just have the HDMI cable plus GamePad combo for those with a game-worthy device. No specific pricing or Malaysia release dates were available yet, but we'll update you as soon as they become available.

While the HTC Desire 400 dual-SIM smartphone has been officially listed, there doesn't seem to be any big announcement for it. To top it all off, the two main HTC sites it is listed at show different tech specs for this entry level to midrange smartphone. Piecing tech specs together, the HTC Desire 400 has a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB storage plus microSD support, a 1800 mAh battery and a 4.3-inch screen with 480 x 800 pixel resolutions. However, the HTC Russia listing says it will have an 8MP rear camera with LED flash while the HTC Ukrain site has it at 5MPs along with just a dual-core processor. It could just mean that there is a different version for each country but regardless of which listing it is on, there is still no pricing for the dual-SIM Desire 400. No specific Malaysia release dates or pricing either but we should get a global listing soon.
