The bigger the tablet, the bigger the screen or display and because displays remain the biggest battery drainer on an Android tablet, tablets with bigger displays don't often last that long on a single charge. The ASUS ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL not only has a bigger 8-inch 720p HD display, it also offers higher-end features like an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 4G LTE connectivity. As one of the few ASUS ZenPad tablets to not use an Intel processor, how does the ASUS ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL perform? Find out in our review of the ASUS ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL.

The ASUS ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL is the first ASUS ZenPad tablet to go for 4G LTE connectivity while maintaining the same overall ZenPad clutch case-like design, albeit in an 8-inch display size. Like the ASUS ZenPad 7.0 Z370CG, the ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL has an interchangeable ZenCase back cover but it is larger due to the bigger 8-inch display. Priced at RM849, it should also come with an Audio Cover and Power Case but more on that another time. In any case, we managed to get some hands-on with the ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL complete with ZenCase change, so do check out the video in this article.

When you say local Malaysian brand you don't often equate that with quality products, instead you tend to say cheap build and affordable pricing instead. The IPRO Livepad 8.9 tablet keeps that affordable perception but offers a premium full metal frame covered by tempered glass on the front and back in a beautiful flat and thin design. Truth be told, we haven't seen a tablet of this quality in some non-local brands for a while and to top it off it is going for a promotional price of RM699. How can something so cheap be so awesome? And can you replace your laptop with it? We find out all the details in our review of the very much value-added IPRO Livepad 8.9 tablet below.

SNS Network continued their Joi series of tablets recently with the announcement of the Joi 7 for just RM299. This 7-inch display tablet is again powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom processor and Windows 8.1 but comes with a few changes in tech specs compared to the Joi 8, Joi 8i and Joi 10. This includes a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, a 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera and 2600 mAh battery. Some feaures remain the same like the 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, expandable microSD slot, mini HDMI port and MicroUSB port. You also get a free 1 year's subscription to Office 365 Personal (which also comes with a license for a PC or Mac as well) but we assume that some sellers may sell this separately to cut the price tag down further. The Joi 7 is a purely WiFi tablet with Bluetooth 4.0 support but there could be a 3G/4G LTE version like the recent Joi 8i. We also hope that build quality also follows the later Joi 8i as well but we'll only know more once a review unit comes our way. The Joi 7 is currently available at SNS Network outlets and their GLOO online store.
