Google today announced that the Bard AI chatbot has been officially renamed Gemini and immediately launched a dedicated Android application.

Google has officially announced that their Bard AI can now generate images. Utilizing the Imagen 2 text-to-image model, it will generate images with SynthID built into the pixels as a form of watermarking to let others know that it was generated using AI. Similar generative art platforms include Midjourney and OpenAI’s DALL-E 3.

You might hear of Bard before. In case you didn’t know, think of it as Google’s version of ChatGPT. That said, the Bard feature is now compatible with your Google apps and services.

Not a big fan of voice assistants? Maybe AI chatbots would work better for you. Google unveiled the Bard chatbot back in March, but it hasn't quite seen the success that ChatGPT has so far. Well, maybe putting it in Android devices could change that.
