Quite recently, Nintendo announced the Nintendo 2DS, a handheld gaming system that can run Nintendo DS and Nintendo 3DS titles but doesn't show the 3D effect that plays when you use the Nintendo 3DS. Another major difference is that rather than flip up or down for easier portability, it is actually one piece with the normal 2 screens and controls you'd normally associate with a Nintendo DS. According to Nintendo the Nintendo 2DS will be released in the United States on 12 October 2013. It will be priced at $129.99 (RM427).
