Japanese global holding company and video game giant Sega Sammy Holdings (Sega) is now the owner of the popular Angry Birds video games franchise. This is after Sega bought Rovio Entertainment, the Finland-based company behind Angry Birds for EUR706 million or ~RM3.42 billion.

Due to popular demand, the first Angry Birds game has returned to Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Although the game's developer, Rovio, has brought newer entries down the line, none of them can replace the one that started it all. Therefore, it has decided to give the classic an internal upgrade and bring it back for the users who have been asking for it.
