If you don't know who is Foxconn, this company from Taiwan is responsible for assembling your iPhone for Apple. Now, it seems that there are plans for Foxconn to build up a chip production facility with a local partner here in Malaysia.

The disruption to events and product launches has been rampant during this COVID-19 pandemic. But Apple's upcoming 5G iPhones might not be delayed after all with Foxconn reassuring investors that things should be on schedule. From the hints, it's believed that the iPhone 12 series can still make it for the usual September launch.

A rumour is circulating out of China that Microsoft, the current owner of the Nokia phone brand, is intending to close the division inside the company handling the brand and will licence the brand to Foxconn Corporation. Microsoft owns the right to use the Nokia name for smartphones until 2024, according to the deals when they owned the latter in 2014.
