News & Reviews:   ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL review

Hailed by DxOMark as one of the better midrange cameraphones with a score of 90 (on par with the Google Pixel), ASUS are coming back in a big way with an affordable midrange smartphone that not only takes great pictures but looks great and performs with AI or Artificial Intelligence functions as well. We see how well ASUS managed to do this in our review of the ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL below.

Despite only costing RM1299, the ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL offers upper midrange tech specs like AI or Artificial Intelligence driven features, a 6.2-inch full HD+ fullview display and more.

ASUS Malaysia have officially launched their ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 ZB 602KL smartphone for a value busting RM699 along side their new midrange ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL for an also very affordable RM1299. The ZenFone Max Pro M1 will be available exclusively on Lazada starting 1 June 2018 as well as the ZenFone 5 on 4 July 2018.

After the recent ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 preview, it was also revealed that it would be coming to Malaysia on 31 May 2018 along with the ASUS ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL). Both will be launched in Malaysia on the same date with both being made available at the same time.

While ASUS have officially announced their ASUS ZenFone 5 series with the ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL, ZenFone 5Z ZS620KL and ZenFone 5 Lite ZC600KL, we managed to get some hands-on time with the ASUS ZenFone 5 and ASUS ZenFone 5 Lite. Check out the pictures and features below.

ASUS has officially announced their ASUS ZenFone 5 (ZE620KL), ZenFone 5Z (ZS620KL) and ZenFone 5 Lite (ZC600L) and nearly all of the leaks are true including the notched Fullview display. In a move to get back to their roots with their #backto5 initiative, ASUS will offer high-end features at lower-end prices with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor + 4GB RAM + 64GB storage packing ZenFone 5Z starting from 479€ (~RM2291). The ASUS ZenFone 5 ZE620KL was apparently spotted in the wild showing off a full view display and a notch in the top middle for the front camera. Coming courtesy of @bgssilva the live shot is further supported by leaked press renders from @rquandt of the upcoming ZenFone 5 series. It is still unclear if only the Zenfone 5 ZE620KL is the only ZenFone with the iPhone X like notched display as the previously leaked ZenFone 5 Lite did not have any notch but the schematics below do show a USB Type C port and 3.5mm audio jack.
