Microsoft recently announced that Windows 11 is authorized to run on M1 and M2 chipset powered Mac laptops. This is done through the Parallels Desktop version 18 however, they made no guarantees for games that rely on DirectX 12 or OpenGL 3.3 or greater. 

Aside from their M2 Pro and M2 Max powered MacBook Pro laptops, Apple has officially announced the release of their new Apple Mac mini desktops. However, these devices will be powered by the M2 and M2 Pro only with no mention of any M2 Max variant just yet. Prices start from RM2499.

As previously speculated, the new Apple Silicon processor M2 was announced at the WWDC 2022. With the new processor, Apple also introduced the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro which are coming soon with it.

When Apple launched the Mac Studio, some might have thought that the M1 Ultra would be the most powerful variant of Apple Silicon. But Apple has more up its sleeve, and the Apple M2 series chips could come with something even more powerful. Sources claim that it would be called the Apple M2 Extreme.

By now, it's quite obvious that Apple is looking to ditch Intel CPUs for Apple Silicon for its entire PC lineup. We've seen this happen with the MacBooks, Mac Minis, and iMac as well. There are still some products that use Intel chips, but the company will fully transition in 2022.
