Samsung has officially unveiled the brand new Exynos 2100 chipset during their live virtual event which took place earlier today. The chipset is one of the first from Samsung to be manufactured using the 5nm extreme ultra-violet process node, which not only makes it much more power-efficient, but it also comes with improved performance.

Last month, the Exynos 1080 chipset appearing more than a few times in rumours. That led to many believing that Samsung would be launching it soon and that does seem to be the case. The company has officially confirmed that a launch will happen on 12 November 2020.

A while back, it was rumoured that the new Exynos 1000 chipset from Samsung could outperform the Snapdragon 865 in terms of GPU performance. But it looks like Samsung's next flagship chipset won't have what it takes to beat the upcoming Snapdragon 875 chipset.

The flagships from Samsung with Exynos chipset series have always caught in comparison with the variants that come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset series. Sadly, the ones with Exynos chipsets were always defeated in the battles due to weaker performance. By being determined to win for once, the Korean tech giant has raised the efforts into research and development for a new K-Chip series.

Whenever Samsung launches a new smartphone series, the Malaysian market will always get the Exynos variant. Some people may be cool with it, but some may not as they prefer the one that comes with a more powerful Snapdragon Qualcomm chipset. However, it looks like Samsung is going to change that as the Exynos 1000 is rumoured to be three times faster than Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865.

If you recall, there was a rumour yesterday that Google may be working on a new custom CPU for its Pixel devices with Samsung. The latter used to make its own Exynos chipsets for its devices until it decided to shut down its custom CPU division last year. However, it seems that Samsung may still have a few Mongoose custom CPUs up its sleeves.

And now, they’ve announced their latest most powerful chipset, which will likely be used in the 2019 models of their flagships besides adding in a new range of budget phones as well.
