HUAWEI's in-house operating system HarmonyOS is making its way to more devices from the company. Earlier, it was reported that the rollout of the stable version for smartphones is expected to happen in June. Other than that, a list of upgradable devices has also been leaked. With such progress, everyone might think that the Chinese tech giant will ditch Android OS completely in the future. Now, the latest source is claiming that it will happen.

Generally, Huawei would usually showcase their latest P series smartphones in March during the Mobile World Congress show. But it seems that the company is delaying that until the end of April (at least according to a staff member) with two events - one on 22 April and the other on 27th.

The HUAWEI Mate 40 series had arrived last year with the standard Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and a Porsche Edition Mate 40 Pro RS. After that, the Mate 40E is said to be in the works as it was spotted on Wireless Charging Alliance. As the whole Mate 40 lineup uses the Kirin 9000 chipset, the upcoming Mate 40E is also expected to come with the same chipset. However, it is reported that other devices like the P50 series, Mate X2, and MatePad Pro 2 will also use the Kirin 9000.

Now we're in 2021, the companies will only aim higher by increasing the number. It is reported that a HUAWEI charger that supports 135W fast charging has been certified by China's 3C Agency.

At the IFA 2020, HUAWEI was supposed to announce the world's first commercial 5nm mobile processor at their keynote that happened on 3 September. However, it looks like the plan has changed as the 5nm process (a.k.a Kirin 1000) was nowhere to be found. It is reported that HUAWEI is trying to stay low profile to avoid drawing unnecessary attention.

It is said that the next 5nm Kirin processor will be launched on time without any delay.
