The US government's ban on Huawei which forced Google to sever ties with Huawei have left many smartphone owners worried. Initially, Google had removed Huawei devices from their Android Q list but we’re beginning to see some Huawei devices making a comeback onto said list.

If you happen to own a Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and the Mate RS Porsche Design smartphone, Huawei Malaysia has just announced that these flagship models will be able to upgrade its OS to EMUI 9.1 with a new EROFS feature on 27 June 2019 onwards.

Despite the support Huawei has been receiving, HONOR President, Zhao Ming is currently looking into adjusting the company’s internal goals. He mentioned that it is still too soon to say if the Chinese manufacturer can still achieve its goals but admitted that things aren’t looking too good. They are currently reassessing their goal of overtaking Samsung in the near future.

More good news has arrived for Huawei today. After being reinstated on the WiFi and SD partner list, they are now also back on the Android Q beta program list once more - specifically, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Just last week, Google had cut ties with the Chinese manufacturer after the US government had placed them on the Commerce Department’s Entity List.
