This week, Samsung was ordered to pay a penalty of $601 million (~RM 2.66 billion) to the Indian government after being found to have evaded paying tariffs on telecommunications equipment brought into the country. Samsung received a warning notice in 2023 after the equipment was sold to local telecommunications company Reliance Jio.

The Google One Lite plan we first reported on last July offered cloud storage at a more affordable price. Today, the Google One Lite plan has finally launched in India where it can be subscribed for ?59 (~RM 3) per month and offers 30GB of storage. So, what should you know about it?

India is reportedly seeking to restrict Chinese smartphone manufacturers from selling affordable devices in the country in a bid to support its faltering domestic industry. This proposal would ban smartphones cheaper than Rs12,000 or ~RM672 and would definitely affect Chinese brands such as Xiaomi, realme and more that dominate the segment in the country.

Tiktok is now testing the Explore tab on the mobile apps and the interface looks like TikTok that has a vertical scrolling feed. The company gets the inspiration from TikTok and we think it wouldn't surprise that vertical scrolling becomes a standard feature on the platform.

According to sources, Apple is expected to launch a new MacBook Pro this year with the mini-LED display from the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Due to the ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19, the new laptop might come on schedule but in limited quantities.
