Its Minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa further revealed that K-KOMM will also look at the technologies available in other countries to curb cyber crimes.

The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) has announced that 839 locations nationwide have now gotten internet access using satellite technology. Its minister, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that the locations have now been installed with broadband wireless access (BWA) which utilises satellite technology, including rural areas in Sabah and Sarawak as well as Orang Asli villages.

Furthermore, the ministry also today revealed the device chosen for the programme, which is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8.

During a press conference in Parliament earlier today, Annuar clarified that the distribution of the tablets will be delayed to August 2022 due to tender issues.
