The next-generation Motorola Razr has been in the rumour mills for a while now with alleged leaks the device already circulating in social media since early this year. Previously, we reported on an alleged hands-on photo of the foldable and now, another leak has done one better and gotten a hands-on video on the device.

We’ve been hearing rumours about the next-generation Motorola Razr for a while now, with Lenovo (Motorola's parent company) executive, Chen Jin actually confirming late last year that a refresh to the foldable is currently in the works. Well, according to a new leak, the next Razr is just months away, potentially being released in July 2022 at the latest.

After the launch of a few foldable smartphones recently, Lenovo executive, Chen Jin, has confirmed that there will be a new Motorola Razr foldable device coming. According to him, the third-generation Razr folding smartphone is already in the works.

The foldable Motorola Razr certainly generated a lot of interest when it was first announced last year. Although it was delayed a few times before it was finally launched earlier this year, the new one is not going to take as long to come to market. An official source with Lenovo claims that the next foldable Moto Razr is already in the works and is coming this year.

A bunch of images regarding the successor the Samsung Galaxy Fold been spotted on Weibo, which showcased the design of the device. Based on the images posted, the alleged Galaxy Fold 2 looks pretty similar to that of the Motorola RAZR foldable smartphone which is currently available for purchase in the US for USD1499(~RM6213).

Last night, we found out that Motorola’s Facebook account was replaced with new logos which seems to imply the arrival of the new Motorola RAZR 2019 folding phone. Today, Motorola has officially announced the come back of Motorola RAZR as a foldable Android smartphone!

Finally, we have a date for the Motorola’s foldable flip phone, the Motorola RAZR. The device is expected to be priced over USD$1500 (~RM6279) so it definitely isn’t for the masses. However, the smartphone is aimed at those who want a feel of nostalgia from the past.

Based on a report by LetsGoDigital.org, even though the Motorola RAZR is expected to be priced at USD1500(~RM6270). The foldable device, will not feature high-end specs such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+, large RAM capacity or even a large battery. Instead, it will come with mid-range tech specs along with a smaller than average battery capacity.

Based on a statement by tech.sina.com.cn, it seems that Motorola had seem constantly submitting new patents related to their upcoming Motorola RAZR smartphone. As of now, there is no confirmed date as to when the smartphone will be unveiled. However, Verizon had previously mentioned that they will be exclusively releasing the Motorola RAZR, somewhere around the end of 2019.
