The OPPO Reno8 series is set for release next Monday (23 May 2022) in China but OPPO has not revealed much about the upcoming smartphone lineup, other than its launch date. However, we now have a first look at the smartphone’s design thanks to official posters shared by OPPO on Weibo as well as from a listing that accidentally went live on JD.com.

The OPPO Reno8 has been in the rumour mills for some time now and today, OPPO finally announced the official release date for the smartphone. Taking to its Weibo account, the company revealed that its latest mid-range device will be launched on Monday, 23 May 2022 at 7pm in China.

A previous report claims that the upcoming OPPO Reno8 will be the first to get powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Until now, the device has finally surfaced on Geekbench and further proves the speculation.

Not long ago, we saw the news that Qualcomm will also rebrand its Snapdragon 7 series chip. It's said that the semiconductor manufacturer is preparing to launch the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, with a naming formula similar to the current flagship chip. Now, we might be able to know which smartphone will come with it first, and it's the OPPO Reno8.

It's no longer a surprise for the information of the new OPPO Reno series to appear not long after the launch of previous Reno devices. With that said, renders of the upcoming OPPO Reno8 have surfaced on the internet, bringing us a good look at the device's design.
