OnePlus might be preparing to drop another special edition for one of their products after presenting the OnePlus Watch Harry Potter Edition. This time, the brand is rumoured to be preparing for the Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition that comes with the classic game twist. However, not only that, but it could also get a different processor.

Earlier, it was reported that a woman in India brought along her OnePlus Nord 2 to cycling and the device exploded all of a sudden. After that, her husband took the incident to Twitter and it got acknowledged by OnePlus. Until now, the reason has been uncovered after the company looked into the matter.

The recently launched OnePlus Nord 2 might've been one of the highly-anticipated mid-range devices of the year. Not only it's the first OnePlus smartphone powered by a MediaTek processor after years of sticking to Qualcomm, but the device also has 5G and a relatively attractive 50MP camera setup. Sadly, it's reported that a Nord 2 belongs to an owner who resides in India couldn't last more than five days and exploded.

It seems that OnePlus India recently tweeted an official teaser image for the OnePlus Nord 2, which is due to be unveiled on 22 July 2021. Based on the image, it seems that the phone will come equipped with 5G support, as well as a triple rear camera setup. 

Other than launching OnePlus Nord 2, the brand confirms that it will be introducing a new pair of truly wireless earbuds on the same date which is 22 July. The OnePlus Buds Pro will arrive as a powerful earbuds competitor by providing active noise cancellation with long battery life.

We have been seeing quite a few rumours of the OnePlus Nord 2 lately as the launch is getting nearer. Before that happens, OnePlus has confirmed today that the upcoming device is coming with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-AI chipset, making it the first OnePlus device that features other brand's chipset besides Qualcomm.
