Perodua recently released its first electric vehicle (EV) prototype, the Myvi Conversion at the Malaysian Auto Show 2024. Perodua is expected to launch its first electric vehicle no later than next year with a price that will not exceed RM100,000 and will not be less than RM50,000. Previously, we shared that Perodua will produce the first affordable electric vehicle (EV) for the local market by the end of 2025. Now, the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) has reiterated this plan, saying that the government is ready to help in achieving the goal.
