Based on a statement by Redmi on their official weibo account, it seems that the upcoming Redmi K40 series will come equipped with up to a 4520mAh internal battery. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, it does give us a better idea of what to expect when it is available outside the Chinese market.

According to sources, the Redmi K40 series will launch on 25 February and there are two model variants. One variant will sport a Snapdragon 888 chipset whereas another variant will come with a Snapdragon 870 chipset.

The Redmi K40 series is just around the corner with the launch scheduled to happen next month. Earlier, it was rumoured that the series would bring a device powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 chipset as the Pro variant. For the standard variant, we took a guess on MediaTek's 6nm Dimensity chipsets. However, the latest source is claiming that the vanilla Redmi K40 will use the new Snapdragon 870 chipset instead.

First it was Apple, then Samsung and Xiaomi followed suit of abandoning the charger plug route for this year. Well, not entirely for Xiaomi, because like the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11, the Redmi K40 might also come in two box versions - one with or without the charger plug.
