It seems that a Redmi smartphone equipped with the Dimensity 800 chipset has been spotted on TENAA, and it seems to come with 5G support as well as an in-display fingerprint sensor. While not much is known in regards to whether it will be available in Malaysia, we do know that there might be a 4G variant of the device which is presumably much cheaper than the 5G variant.

Awhile back, Realme had teased a photo taken from their 64MP sensor and it was pretty impressive. Not too long after that, Redmi followed suit, showing off a photo of a cat taken with the world’s first 64MP smartphone camera. Samsung had also apparently hopped onto the bandwagon, with rumours mentioning that the Samsung Galaxy A70s may be equipped with the sensor. Now, the question is: Which company would be releasing their device first?

If you haven’t seen the world’s first photo captured by a 64MP smartphone camera, go do it right meow! Redmi has just teased a photo from the first in the world 64MP smartphone. The photo is of a cat but that’s not all, the photo also comes with a zoomed in version of the image, directed at the cat’s eye, showing off the crisp details. 

Pop up cameras is the rage this year and many OEMs are adopting the feature. Redmi looks to have jumped onto the bandwagon as well with their first ever teaser of the flagship device posted on Weibo earlier today.

Redmi GM, Lei Ju, had confirmed a Redmi device with Snapdragon 855 was in the works. Today, a hands-on video showing off the alleged device has surfaced on the internet, showing off the triple rear camera setup and an O cutout on the top and center of the device. Yikes.
