Samsung has beaten everyone to the punch by releasing the Samsung Galaxy A8s, the world’s first in-display camera, which is known as the Infinity-O display. Other than that, the phone will also come with a triple camera setup in the rear as well. Samsung also introduced the new and improved Bixby personal assistant which sounds more natural and responsive. In terms of the colour options, the Samsung Galaxy A8s comes in Silver, Black, Blue as well as a special Pink/Blue Gradient.

On Weibo, Honor posted a teaser for an upcoming announcement today, the 10th of December. Coincidentally today, the Samsung Galaxy A8s will be unveiled as well. Could this be a way for the company to steal Samsung’s thunder that day?

Like the Samsung Galaxy A8s, many were expecting the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus to sport the Infinity-O display. However, leaks of the front panels as well as renders online seem to debunk this as it shows a pill shaped cutout on the display housing two cameras.

A teaser image of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8s has appeared not only seemingly confirming that it will have an Infinity O display (all screen except for a hole for the selfie camera in the top left corner) but also that it will be coming on 10 December 2018 in Beijing. Apart from the date and location, the teaser also has a Chinese text which translates into “insight into the future”, hinting that Infinity O displays could be coming in future Samsung Galaxy devices, maybe even next year’s Galaxy S10 series.

Yesterday, leaks surfaced showing “leaked photos” of the front panel of the Samsung Galaxy A8s sporting the Infinity-U notch. Now, new leaks have surfaced and this time they are realistic renders of the device. The 3D rends shows off the concept of the smartphone but instead of the Infinity-U display like we initially thought it would be, it had on the Infinity-O.

Samsung recently announced their latest additions of smartphones and among them was the Samsung Galaxy A8s. Leaks of the device’s front panel have surfaced, showing that the Samsung Galaxy A8s may be the first notched phone from the Korean giant.

It wasn't that long ago that Samsung revealed some plans of working on an in-display front camera, and we thought that the demo unit will be ready probably next year but surprise surprise, it already made a visual appearance at an event in China and it's dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy A8s.
