So it’s official, the previous leak from Mr Anonymous regarding the rebate and trade in of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime is now official. From tomorrow on until 21 May 2017, Samsung Malaysia Electronics is allowing every Malaysian to trade in their old devices and a rebate entitlement for the J7 Prime and J5 Prime!

Today, Mr Anonymous has reached out to us on a leak regarding the Samsung J7 Prime and J5 Prime. Apparently, there’s going to be a rebate over the devices and a trade-off as well starting on 14 April until 21 May 2017.

It wasn't that long ago that the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) came out a few months ago with RM1049, previously in our review, we felt that for a device in that price range, it's lacking behind other smartphones in terms of overall performance and some missing features such as a fingerprint sensor. Then out of nowhere, the Galaxy J7 Prime was released in Malaysia for RM1199 (inclusive of GST), it was as if Samsung read our minds on what we complained about the former, but is it really any better? That's what we're about to find out.

For RM1199 (inclusive of GST), the Galaxy J7 Prime in available in White/Gold and Black. Designed to suit trendy lifestyles and bringing wefie-taking to the next level, it features a 5.5-inch FHD TFT display, 13MP main camera, fingerprint sensor, and the Ultra Data Saving Mode (UDS) that allows you to compress and restrict unwanted consuming data running in the background apps. As previously rumoured, the smartphone is indeed priced at RM1199 (GST inclusive) and will come in White/Gold and Black. While the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has yet to be officially announced, we've received info that it has started selling here in Malaysia for RM1199. In addition, our sometimes random but mostly accurate leakster Mr. Anonymous has returned, this time with hands-on pics of the Galaxy J7 Prime.

Our serial leakster friend Mr. Anonymous recently sent over some interesting information concerning the rumoured Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime. Apparently it may be coming this month for an estimated price of RM1199. The most interesting feature remains the fingerprint sensor that the Galaxy J7 Prime may have inside its home button as all of the Galaxy J (2016) phones lack that feature. No exact Malaysia release dates but stay tuned to TechNave.com and we'll keep you updated.

The Samsung Galaxy J family is well and alive in Malaysia, with the 2016 models recently launched locally. However we may see yet another model coming soon to the market, and it may have the moniker Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime.
