If you are familiar with Chinese-made games, you would know that many mobile games tend to be 'inspired' by other well-known games. Well, Tencent Games has done it again by announcing a brand-new crossplay console-mobile game called Light of Motiram which is clearly influenced by Sony's Horizon franchise.

Remember when there used to be '3D' TVs? Well, a gaming company has replicated that in handheld consoles. Recently, Tencent announced a new '3D' gaming handheld device.

Of all the updates, we certainly didn't expect PUBG Mobile to get not one but three new Malaysian voice pack updates. Today, Tencent Games has announced that Malaysian gamers can now enjoy Negeri Sembilan, Perak, and Sarawak dialects.

Logitech G, the gaming division of the Swiss peripheral giant Logitech, has announced a partnership with Tencent Games to work on a dedicated cloud-based handheld console. It will be something like the Valve Steam Deck, offering players a device with controls to stream games on the go. 

Following Apple's App Store purge, HUAWEI has also removed some games from their app store today. However, the Chinese tech giant is only removing the games that are developed by Tencent specifically rather than thousands of them.

As some of you may already know, PUBG Mobile is officially banned in India due to security reasons along with other over 100 apps from China. India is one of PUBG Mobile largest fanbase (estimated 33 million users) so from a business point of view, this really hurt PUBG Corporation and they are taking action in working closely with the India government.

Now, the company is planning to release a new survival mobile game named Dawn Awakening and the beta test will be starting on 16 September.

Earlier this month rumours that SNK is working on new games for the Metal Slug series appeared. It's said that one of them would be a mobile game with card elements, but there's another Metal Slug mobile game that is still in development. We finally know more about it now that Tencent Games has revealed the trailer for Metal Slug Code: J.

The strong interest that gamers have in Cyberpunk 2077 may be causing other game developers to want to revisit this theme. That seems to be the case with Tencent Games, which has just revealed a new cyberpunk-themed tech demo developed by Lightspeed and Quantum Studios.

The mobile games industry is a lucrative market, one that Tencent has dived into wholeheartedly. With games like PUBG: Mobile and Arena of Valor in Tencent Games' stable, it was perhaps only time before the company decided to have its own branded gaming phone. In fact, the company has announced that it has enlisted the help of Black Shark to create such devices.
