Vivo recently sent out a teaser image about their upcoming developments for MWC Shanghai 2019 and it’s mostly about 5G. Considering that their previously revealed portless, buttonless Vivo APEX 2019 was their only 5G offering and since it was revealed back in January, we expect that there should be more than just that. Just for a refresher on the tech specs, the Vivo APEX 2019 featured a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage with new MagPort tech.

According to Youtuber Jon Prosser, the upcoming Google Pixel 4 may not come with any physical buttons but instead be replaced with capacitive touch buttons, similar to vivo’s concept phone, the vivo APEX 2019. In addition, the Pixel 4 may also ditch the notch and opt for a punch hole display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10+.

Imagine a phone with no buttons and no ports with a full infinity display and and a full screen fingerprint scanner. It brings a lot of questions to mind such as: How do I charge the phone? How do I turn on the phone? Well vivo has a concept phone with those characteristics and it is pretty impressive which is the vivo APEX 2019. The device finally makes an appearance here in Malaysia and we had a chance to check out the interesting smartphone for ourselves!

Vivo has always been innovative when it comes to smartphones. By innovative I mean they have created a smartphone that features absolutely no ports, no selfie camera, no buttons and a fingerprint reader that can be used on the whole screen which is the vivo APEX 2019. Did I mention that this device is coming to Malaysia? The local media here in Malaysia has just received invitations to check out this interesting concept phone next week.

China has officially launched the Vivo APEX 2019, the world’s first 5G smartphone with no ports or buttons. Instead of using physical buttons, the device uses the Touch Sense Technology which uses capacitive buttons to detect inputs from the user.

The Meizu Zero smartphone has been unveiled, showcasing a smartphone with no physical buttons and slots equipped. To explain further, the device will not have physical volume buttons and charging slots. Instead, the volume will be controlled through the capacitive buttons on the side. Charging wise, it can only be charged exclusively via 12W Wireless Charger.

In this short news, vivo Malaysia's official Facebook page has hinted us that the company's previous ambassador, Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza will return as the brand ambassador once again. But we think there's actually more than that.
