Sony Xperia now appears more inclusive with various accessibility features specially designed to help users with various needs. So, what should you know about it?

After teasing the existence of a gaming-centric Xperia smartphone for a while now, Sony has finally unveiled the device, aptly named Sony Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition. Launched in Japan yesterday, one of the stand-out features of the device has got to be its 6.5-inch 4K 120Hz OLED display.

Sony is preparing to reveal new products at another Xperia event on 12 September. It was not long ago when the brand launched the Xperia 5 IV, and it's moving forward fast. However, this Xperia event is not the usual one, as it seems like the brand is launching some gaming-centric products.

Sony Malaysia today announced that it will be launching its latest mid-range offering, the Sony Xperia 10 IV in our country in August 2022. The world’s lightest smartphone with 5G connectivity at just 161 grams, it features a 6-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and wrapped in Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

It amazes us how Sony can keep everything under control by not having a single leak about its upcoming smartphone. If you haven't noticed, Sony will be having an Xperia event next week to debut a new device. However, nothing has been reported so far about what the company has in store. Today, a new teaser video has arrived and given some hints on what's to come, with one of the professionals saying that "it's going to be the best smartphone camera". 

In just a few hours ago, it seems that Sony Malaysia has quietly set discounts on all the Xperia smartphones. The discounts were up to 27% and the Xperia 10 II blue and black model are already sold out thanks to the attracted promo price at RM1299.

The smartphone market hasn't been a big focus for Sony in recent years, but the company has continued to make new devices every year. For next year, one of it is expected to be mid-range 5G device - Xperia 10 III. But another rumour hints that there would be a return of the Compact series of smartphones.

Due to the decision to pull out of MWC 2020 and Sony not announcing any new launch dates, leaks have become the only way to find out what the company's new Xperia devices would be like. Luckily, Max Weinbach posted the series of images that revealed the Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II, which are Sony's next generation of mid-range and flagship smartphones.

While having a triple rear camera on a smartphone is getting common, even for mid-range tier devices, the current holder for the most cameras is the Nokia 9 PureView with five camera sensors. However, there is a new rumour floating around saying that a new Sony Xperia phone could come out with six cameras.
