Microsoft is reportedly putting more ads in its Outlook mobile app for both iOS and Android, something that free users of the platform have been enduring for the past few months. Previously, the company only put ads in the ‘Other’ tab within the app for free users but now, it’s popping up in the single-inbox mode too.

Spotify is expanding its free trial preriod to attract more users to subscribe to its Premium service. Previously, the music streaming platform only offered a one-month trial for those who want to enjoy unlimited skips on their playlists. Now, it has become a three-month thing.

Back in January, Instagram introduced its subscription service for the creators to earn a profit through what they post on the social media platform. However, the subscriptions only covered minimal content, such as stories and live streams. Now, Instagram will be adding photos, videos, or Reels into the package, which is one of the most requested changes by the creators.

Subscription plans are becoming more and more popular among social media tools. If users wanted to use some exclusive features, they would have to pay, and it's as simple as that. With that said, Telegram might be planning to launch a subscription plan of its own, but the features offered are still vague for now. 

TikTok is now following the subscription trend by bringing one to its platform. After Instagram announced early testing of paid subscriptions, the popular short video app has also been discovered doing limited testing for a feature that will allow creators to charge their fans for exclusive content.

If you recall, there was a rumour last week claiming that Instagram could launch subscriptions soon. From the leaked image, you could see that the company was also working on a badge system. Well, it looks like the latter is ready to roll out.

Instagram might start asking you for money soon in order to see your favourite influencers' posts. According to the app's App Store listing, the platform will move away from conventional ads for monetization and launch subscriptions as "different ways to facilitate a financial relationship between a fan and a creator."

LG Smart TV owners will be able to enjoy a three-month subscription to Apple TV+ for free starting from 15 November. The promotion applies to all compatible 2016-2021, 8K and 4K LG Smart TV models. For those who are eligible, you may sign up for the promotion by 13 February 2022.

Twitter first announced that it was looking into subscriptions earlier this year. The company wanted to let Twitter users monetise their content and started beta testing Super Follows in June. Now, it seems that Twitter is done with testing.

Earlier this year, Twitter unveiled a new subscription feature called Super Follows. The idea is to provide content creators (and Twitter) with another means to earn some extra income. Now, it seems the feature could be released anytime soon.
