Unifi Mobile is raising the bar for postpaid plans in Malaysia with its new UNI5G Postpaid + Netflix bundle. This marks the country’s first mobile plan to include a built-in Netflix subscription, combining unlimited data with premium entertainment in one sleek package.

Today, Unifi Mobile announced a new offer for its UNI5G Postpaid 39 subscribers. To top up with just RM1, they can get a limited-time promotion of 200GB 5G Monthly Data Pass.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil has asked telco service providers to take immediate action to improve their subpar network service quality in Melaka. This is after a Cellular Service Quality Test (voice calls) conducted on a river cruise along Sungai Melaka in Banda Hilir yielded many dropped call problems.

In light of the announcement by Fahmi Fadzil, Minister of Communication and Digital, regarding the new RAHMAH 5G package and RAHMAH Public Servant Postpaid Incentive yesterday, it's now confirmed that all our local telcos will be supporting the government's initiative. This includes CelcomDigi, Maxis, Telekom Malaysia (unifi mobile), U Mobile and YTL Communications (Yes). 

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) has announced that prepaid package users will enjoy free additional internet quota and cashback in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations. Its Minister, Fahmi Fadzil elaborated that this is applicable for a certain period until 31 May 2023.

The Ministry of Communications and Digital (KKD) today officially launched the PAKEJ PERPADUAN prepaid mobile internet plan. First announced in December last year, the package is available from now until 31 December 2023 and offers 30GB of data at 3Mbps speed, with a validity period of 180 days for just RM30.

It was recently announced that the aforementioned PAKEJ PERPADUAN will launch on 28 February 2023. It will be available by major telcos such as CelcomDigi, Maxis Berhad (Maxis), Telekom Malaysia Berhad (Unifi Mobile), U Mobile Sdn Bhd (U Mobile) and YTL Communications Sdn Bhd (YES). It will replace the previous Pakej Remaja.

For those unaware, Telekom Malaysia's Uni5G Prepaid has a monthly unlimited pass that allowed users to have unlimited 4G Internet. But in December 2022, the company decided to impose a FUP data cap of 100GB. Well, that cap is now even lower.

Following Telekom Malaysia’s (TM) signing of the Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) Access Agreement on Sunday (30 October 2022), the company has launched its first phase of 5G services today. You can check out our coverage of the new Uni5G plans here and today, TM clarified that existing Unifi Mobile Postpaid customers will also be getting unlimited 5G data.

Besides YES 5G, Telekom Malaysia (TM) already joined Digital Nasional Bhd's (DNB) 5G single wholesale network a long time ago. Despite that, there were no signs of any 5G package plans yet until today. Although nothing is official yet, a trip to the JENDELA map would say otherwise.
