The Pakej Perpaduan prepaid mobile internet plan officially launched on Tuesday (28 February 2023), a package with 30GB of data at 3Mbps speed with 180 days validity for just RM30. It will be offered by local telco companies, including Yes, which today announced that its prepaid users can access both 4G and 5G networks via the package.

To refresh your memory, these phones (YES Altitude 3) were provided under the Jaringan Prihatin Program and there were two cases where both models caught fire. Today, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) just posted an announcement that Malaysians would be able to have a free call during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays. In this short announcement, all the local telcos are in agreement that the free calls will start from 10 PM today (12 May 2021) until 10 AM (13 May 2021).

As some of you already know, the Jaringan Prihatin Programme has already begun on 5 May and all the telco brands have already started to launch their own plans for the Rakyat. Just last Wednesday, our Prime Minister Muhyiddin officially extended the Movement Control Order (MCO) for everyone's benefit in hopes to minimize the COVID-19 spread. During his second live telecast last Friday, he also mentioned that Malaysians will be receiving their 1GB free Internet data starting from 1 April, but didn't say how.
