Apple iOS 8 coming on 17 September 2014

Announced earlier in June 2014, iOS 8 generally was more open to customization, with the ability to change out the standard QuickType keyboard, a more useful Siri and new features like the Health hub app and Family Sharing. While Apple did not release the final version at the Apple iPhone 6 launch event, they did say when it would be released and for what devices. According to Apple, iOS 8 will be available for free download on 17 September 2014. It will be available to users who have an Apple iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPod touch 5th generation, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina Display. As always, be sure to backup before you download the update, just in case.
