After Apple made a comeback by launching four devices at a time, another tech giant is heading the way to surprise us with their latest flagships as well on 22 October. In just a few days, HUAWEI will be finally launching the highly-anticipated Mate 40 series with the 5nm chipset at an event. Before that, a promo video of the series was out today by showing off the device's capability of taking distortion-free ultra-wide-angle photos.

As we're getting closer to the launch date of Sony PlayStation 5, many are worried if the gaming console is going to make it on time. As announced by Sony, the upcoming PS5 is supposed to be launched in the U.S. on 12 November and elsewhere on 19 November. However, the Internet has found out that the "Launches in holiday 2020" text has been taken down from most South East Asian sites.

Earlier this year, iQOO has launched the budget iQOO U1 that is equipped with tech specs like Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, 48MP triple camera setup, and 4500mAh battery with a price starting from ~RM730. Now, it looks like the brand will make a comeback soon with an even cheaper iQOO U1x launching in just two more days.

Based on a statement by a user on weibo, it seems that Huawei could unveil the Huawei nova 8 series in November 2020 in China. While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date, we do know that the series will most likely be priced from RMB2799 (~RM1734) onwards.

Samsung has officially announced that they will be permanently reducing the recommended retail price of selected Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones, namely the Galaxy A71, A31, A21s, A11, as well as the A01 smartphones. Furthermore, in terms of the pricing, the Galaxy A71, A31, as well as the A21s, will be priced at RM1699, RM999, and RM899 respectively while the Galaxy A11 and A01 will be priced at RM529 and RM399 respectively.

It seems that Yahoo has recently unveiled the Yahoo Lite app which can be downloaded via the Google Play Store starting from today onwards. The difference between the base app compared to the Lite is that the latter only takes up 1MB of space while maintaining the core functionality of the app.

Based on a statement by Redmi executive on weibo, it seems that Redmi could be planning on releasing a “mini” smartphone in the near future. While not much is known in regards to when the smartphone will be available for purchase, the executive did mention that a smaller smartphone will come with a much smaller battery capacity due to the size of the smartphone.
