If you were one of the few to say that the Apple iPhone X is your future then perhaps you'd like to take back your words as Cult of Mac reports the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus beat out the iPhone X in GeekBench 4. Logically, it is something we fully expected considering that all of these new iPhones are running the A11 Bionic chip and the iPhone X bezel-free display and Face ID no doubt saps a good deal of processing power. Since last week, we have spotted two similar smartphones by Huawei. First, we got an anonymous tip that another selfie device called the Nova 2i will be coming to Malaysia on 26 September this month. On the other hand, TENAA released some information that matches the same specs but being hailed as Maimang 6, could these two phones be the same?

Apparently, security loopholes were found by researcher Pierre Kim in the D-Link DIR-850L router as initially reported by Lowyat.net, which is often used bundled with TM's Unifi and Time's high speed broadband packages. These loopholes would have provided backdoor access and other vulnerabilities but D-Link have since announced that an update to fix this is coming on 21 September 2017. The security loopholes also covers other D-Link DIR-800 series routers such as the DIR-885L, DIR-890L and DIR-895L.

Ever since its debut, vivo has always been riding on the success of manufacturing selfie smartphones. So while vivo Malaysia continues the hype of their upcoming V7+ selfie smartphone, we decided to take a closer look at the device's 24MP front camera. What can the company bring it to the table? Will it be the best selfie phone ever marketed? What kind of advantage does it have? Here's what we know so far.

While we previously covered Huawei Mate 10 pricing direct from Huawei as being below RM3K, news of rising component costs has hinted that the Huawei Mate 10 could be priced at 599 euros (~RM2998). The Mate 10 Pro on the other hand might see a jump as high as 799 euros (about RM4000). Tech specs like the Kirin 970 processor with dedicated Artificial Intelligence Neural Processing Unit, 6.2-inch bezel-free display, a 3D front lens for face unlocking, Leica dual rear cameras and a 4000 mAh battery are expected to remain the same though.

It has the same MediaTek Helio P20 processor, but everything else is just bigger like the 5.5-inch display, 3430mAh battery and a 4GB + 32GB memory capacity. There's still a week to go until vivo Malaysia unveiled the latest vivo V7+, but it seems that someone got too excited about it and shared a new photo shots of the device online, thanks to the forums in India (so they say). We know that even though it has been officially launched in India, nobody really got a good look at the devices online. Anyway, check out how the device looks like below. 

So apparently, ASUS has launched a new Zenfone V (V520KL) and it's not pronounced as 5 but just "vee". This is a telco-exclusive smartphone in the USA by Verizon, ironically, the new smartphone is listed on ASUS' official website with no price nor availability, even Verizon got nothing on that. Anyway, the smartphone itself is packing some nice decent tech-specs. Check it out below.

Thanks to an official invite we received, the quad-camera packing Huawei Nova 2i will apparently be coming to Malaysia on 26 September 2017, confirming that it will have dual rear cameras and dual front cameras. The invite also says that we should expect a star ambassador to go with the Nova 2i. No prizes as to who that someone is but do feel free to discuss it in our Facebook Page.
