Back in September, ByteDance which is the parent company of PICO, officially launched PICO 4 Ultra in the Malaysian market. But how does it perform, and is it worth buying? Read on to find out.

Some of you should have heard of the PICO 4 before. It made a local debut in Malaysia two years ago and today, PICO just officially unveiled a more powerful all-in-one Mixed Reality (MR) PICO 4 Ultra headset. Starting on 4 September, it will be on sale for RM2,799.

Today, PICO Malaysia announced that its anticipated second store will be launching soon. Strategically located at Queensbay Mall, Penang, the new store is set to offer a wide range of immersive VR experiences and cutting-edge PICO VR headsets for those up north of the peninsular. Of course, there will be some promotional offers to celebrate the grand opening. 

In continuing its effort to push out more Virtual Reality (VR) content for customers, PICO announced that it is now compliant with the OpenXR standard. This will allow developers to run OpenXR apps on PICO headsets with minimal modification, thus, more VR games.

The PICO 4 was only recently announced in the middle of October so we didn't expect it to be on promo sale that soon. From today onwards until 15 November 2022, the PICO 4 can be purchased at RM100 less than its retail price, at RM1,599 for the 128GB variant and RM1,899 for the 256GB variant.
