Based on the image allegedly from Xiaomi themselves, the Xiaomi Mi 6 and the Redmi Note 4X will receive the update first in a week’s time.Followed by the rest of the Xiaomi lineup in the weeks after.

As announced in Xiaomi’s official Facebook Malaysia page, the Redmi Note 4 (4GB + 64GB variant, Black, Gold, Grey) will be arriving in Malaysia on 29 April 2017, while the Redmi 4X will be happening tonight in a special sale event by Direct D (Subang Jaya) at 9PM tonight!

Redmi Note 4X, which is identical to the international version of Redmi Note 4 introduced in India recently, had just been announced in China. The regular Redmi Note 4X starts from 999 Yuan (around RM650) for the 3GB/32GB version, while the Hatsune Miku edition, that comes in green, along with extra battery pack and protective case costs 1299 Yuan (around RM840). There were no indication of how much the premium 4GB/64GB will cost.

While there is much anticipation on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X launch coming soon this month, there was another buzz of Xiaomi secretly developing a new Redmi smartphone, consisting a Snapdragon 660 SoC.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, which was teased a while ago on Weibo, will be launching soon. Despite not being officially announced yet, Xiaomi announced that they’ll be offering a special Hatsune Miku Edition in conjunction with the unveiling of the Redmi Note 4X on Valentine’s Day. It offers a slight cosmetic change(laser engraved Hatsune Miku's signature and unique serialised number), as well as an accessory package that includes a Limited edition Mi 10000mAh Power bank, and a Hatsune Miku printed soft protective case.

So far in 2017, Xiaomi has been quite quiet but as of yesterday they have officially announce a new smartphone to be launched soon this month. Called the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, the device is set to be revealed on 16 February (or 14), here’s what we know of the tech-specs so far.

Xiaomi may be having a bit of trouble here and there – but it is not stopping them from creating devices to fit the needs of the market. The latest model to peek out of the rumour pile is a new Note – the Redmi Note 4X to be precise.
