Apple has released the iOS 16.3.1 update which brings several bug fixes and optimisations to supported iPhones. However, if you’re a Google Photos user, you may not want to update your iPhone just yet as the latest update also brought about a new bug which breaks the Google Photos app on iOS.

Apple’s rumoured iPhone hardware subscription service is reportedly facing further delays together with other financial services that the company are allegedly developing. According to reliable tipster Mark Gurman, the slow progress and “missed deadlines” are due to “engineering and technical setbacks”.

The iPhone 15 series that’s coming later year is expected to feature USB-C in accordance with the latest EU regulations. However, despite the universal nature of the port, Apple is reportedly planning to limit its functionality, whereby it may not work with accessories not approved by the tech giant.

Reliable tipster on everything Apple, Mark Gurman has claimed that the tech giant would not be releasing any Mac Studio in the near future. This is because Apple is putting its focus on the first Mac Pro with Apple Silicon instead.

Apple may be launching a new top-of-the-line tier of the iPhone next year which would be its most expensive yet. Dubbed the iPhone ‘Ultra’, it could debut with the iPhone 16 series and maybe a tier above the Pro Max variant instead of replacing it as previously rumoured.

Previously, we reported on reliable tipster Ming-Chi Kuo’s claim that Apple will release a foldable iPad with a carbon fibre kickstand in 2024. However, Kuo may have missed the mark on this prediction as other tech insiders have since denied hearing anything on the matter.

Previously, we reported that Apple is expanding its operations in India, with half of all iPhones expected to be manufactured in the country by 2027. Now, the tech giant has reportedly begun manufacturing AirPods components in India too, which is part of its plans to move production away from China. 

Apple has long been rumoured to produce a foldable iPad, with many sources predicting it to be released in 2024. The latest of which is from reliable tipster Ming-Chi Kuo who agreed with the release time-frame and even went a step further by claiming that the foldable iPad will come with a carbon fibre kickstand.

Previously, we reported that the iPhone 15 series may feature WiFi 6E and now, more information has come out regarding the matter. In an alleged Apple document leak, it looks like support for the WiFi standard will be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro models.

Apple may be upgrading the iPhone 15 series with WiFi 6E, the same WiFi standard currently available on the latest M2-powered MacBook Pro, Mac Mini and iPad Pro. This is according to a research note shared by Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O’Malley.
