It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that misinformation can be deadly as the covid-19 virus. A huge amount of misinformation has been spread through social platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp more than before due to the pandemic. To combat this, Facebook has been actively banning 3000 accounts (and counting), groups and pages from doing so.

During the pandemic, you may have gotten yourself into a new Facebook group based on your interest and hobbies. If you are, you may have also noticed something new in the group settings called Group Experts. It's a new tiny feature designed by Facebook which will highlight which members are the experts in a particular topic.

Earlier, we've seen two cases involving the explosion of YES Altitude 3 which is the model of the device given out by the government under the Jaringan Prihatin initiative. Sadly, we have yet another case reported on the YES 4G Community unofficial group on Facebook two days ago, and the cause of the explosion is similar to the previous two.

The user from Pahang posted a few pictures showing the aftermath caused by the explosion. Other than that, the caption also mentioned that the phone exploded suddenly while it had only been in use for two months. Once again, we hope that no one is hurt in this incident.

For developers, getting apps approved for the Apple App Store can be tedious. It's not as bad for the Google Play Store, but that also means it's not as secure. In fact, Google had to remove a few apps for security reasons recently.

If you recall, there was a leak last month revealing that Instagram had been working on direct posting from the desktop site. Of course, the company hasn't announced it yet. However, some users seem to have gotten access to it already.

Last week, we reported that Facebook has begun testing out Live Audio Rooms and it seems that it was a success. According to the recent Facebook Newsroom post, the Live Audio Rooms alongside Podcast will be rolling out the features in the US first.

Earlier this month, Mark Zuckerberg hinted that multi-device access could be coming to WhatsApp soon. The company had allegedly solved some related technical issues and planned to release the feature soon. Now, we have some more details on it.

Due to the sudden popularity of Clubhouse, many tech brands try to create their own version to mimic the success. For Facebook, they too are developing one and will be testing a new Live Audio Rooms today in the US timezone (15 June 1 PM EDT).

Again, Twitter is working on another new feature that allows users to express more emotions like we're doing on Facebook. Recently, we've seen the social media platform testing features like Tip Jar and Super Follow. This new one could more interesting as it'll be available to all users instead of targeting to monetize the platform.
