Google has announced that their latest Android 10 operating system, is now officially available for public use. However, it is best to note that the operating system is only available on Pixel smartphones for now. Google has mentioned before that they’re working closely with smartphone manufacturers, to ensure that their operating system is compatible with the devices it will be installed in.

It can be hard to remember every single password for every single account you’ve created online. Google has taken note of this and decided to make life (a little) easier for everyone. Android users (starting from the Google Pixel phones) can now verify their identities for Google services by using their fingerprints or screen lock instead of a password (hurray!).

The first update of Youtube Music of 2019 (version 2.65), isn’t that big of an update. Or is it? Source codes in the app reveals that the app may be evolving into a music player for Android devices which may replace Play Music, thus turning it into Android’s default music player.

Google and HTC officially signed an agreement where certain HTC employees, many of whom are currently working with Google on their Pixel smartphones, will join Google for a $1.1 billion cash investment in HTC. Google will also receive exclusive license for HTC intellectual property while HTC will still be making smartphones and are currently working on their next flagship phone after the HTC U11. They also said that they will continue work on their VIVE VR tech, Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things as well.

In a not so surprise move after Apple brought out their ARKit, Google have announced their ARCore SDK for Android developers to create AR (Augmented Reality) experiences on normal smartphones without any special Google Tango hardware. It will be available with Google Pixel and the Samsung Galaxy S8 running Android 7.0 Nougat and above first, but will spread out to other manufacturers like ASUS, Huawei and LG.

Still known as one of the best cameraphones around, the Google Pixel's photography prowess comes in part from the software algorithms of the HDR+ feature in its Google Camera app. Now, according to Android Authority, B-S-G from 4PDA, modified Google Camera 4.4 which can be sideloaded for any device using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, Snapdragon 821 and Snapdragon 835 (these include the LG G6, OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, Samsung Galaxy S8 and more). While this may improve the quality of low-light shots, we expect this modified HDR+ to also increase processing requirements, making these phones hotter than previously. Knocking off the Google Pixel from 89, camera centric site DxOMark have given the HTC U 11 its highest mobile score yet of 90. According to them, this was because of the very low noise and fast autofocus thanks to the 12MP HTC UltraPixel 3 camera with dual-pixel PDAF (Phase Detect Autofocus) and large 1.4μm pixel sensor along with excellent Optical Image Stabilization.
