The recently released ASUS ZenFone Max Plus with its 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display can be bought for RM499 tomorrow at the new opening of DirectD Digital Mall Kajang tomorrow at 8am (the queue starts at 6am). Looking at the Facebook page, a number of other smartphones going for this promotion also jump out including the Honor 8, Moto M and the ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Pro.

If you're an honor fan, chances are you have already heard of honor 8 not being able to update its operating system to Android 8.0 Oreo. According to GSMArena, the roll-out of EMUI 8.0 has begun officially in China for Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro users and apparently it comes with a host of features previously thought only capable with the NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit) assisted Kirin 970 processor. This includes the PC Desktop-like Easy Projection, translator, voice command powered digital assistant and more. No news yet if these features are also coming to the Huawei P10, P10 Plus, Honor 8 Pro or Honor 8 but they would certainly make such phones a lot more useful in the long run.

In an offline move, it appears that retail stores selling the Honor 8 will be offering special pricing deals on the high spec and low spec versions.
