Today, Huawei has officially confirmed that on 6 September they will be unveiling the HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset at IFA 2019 located in Berlin, Germany. Not only that, but they also plan to unveil the 5G variant of the Kirin 990 as well. Based on a statement by gizchina.com, the aforementioned chipset could allow Huawei and Honor devices to have the ability to record 4k videos at 60fps. As of now, the only smartphone that has been confirmed to come equipped with the upcoming HiSilicon Kirin 990 is the Huawei Mate 30 series.

Huawei has announced that the EMUI 10 will be officially released on the first day of the Huawei Developer Conference, which is happening from 9 to 11 August 2019. The EMUI 10 is a custom skin developed by Huawei, which is installed on top of the Android Q operating system by Google to provide additional functionality and look.

We’re still about 2 months away from the Huawei Mate 30’s release but already a flood of leaks and speculations have cropped up about the much anticipated device. The latest leak is from Twitter leaker @RODENT950 who claims that the vanilla variant of the device may feature a 40MP + 40MP + 8MP triple camera setup in a square arrangement, similar to the Huawei Mate 20 series. This time, the rumour is a little different than the last.

A few days ago, we reported the circular setup for the Huawei Mate 30 smartphone. The cameras were placed on the sides, top and bottom of the setup with the LED flash right below the bottom lens. Now a new render has emerged showing the same circular setup but the lenses are now arranged in an X.
