YouTube Malaysia recently announced that they’ll be streaming “Malaysia’s 1st Virtual Hari Sukan” with Pesta Game 2021 on 30 January 2021 and 31 January 2021. The virtual online event will see participants of Rumah A, Rumah B and Rumah C compete against each other with Malaysia’s most trendiest video games. YouTube Malaysia will be partnering with MyGameOn, IGN Southeast Asia, KFC and powered by the Samsung Galaxy A51 and A71. Update: It's been postponed. See inside for the complete statement.

After teasing the KFConsole for a release on 11 December, the KFConsole has been launched. Made in conjunction with KFC gaming, Cooler Master, Intel, ASUS and Seagate, the KFConsole turns out to be a gaming PC that will be VR ready and can deliver 240fps with up to 240Hz output and 4K-TV gaming. Oh, and yeah, that Chicken Chamber which will keep your fried chicken warm is real too.

Based on a tweet on KFC Gaming's twitter account, it seems that KFC wants to unveil the KFConsole on 11 December 2020, and it is expected to come equipped with a “Chicken Chamber”. Unfortunately, the promotional video did not mention any specifics such as the tech specs other than it looks like it comes with an optical drive and it is capable of achieving up to 4k and 120 FPS.

Not long ago, we saw an advertisement from McDonald’s hinting that the fast-food chain was going to release a 5G smartphone, but it turned out to be just a new product on their menu which is fried chicken. However, we definitely agree that was a good and hilarious marketing stun pulled by the company to promote their new product. Now, it looks like KFC is also following the footsteps to promote new stuff from the company as well.

Over the past few days, there were quite a few smartphone launches. First, the OPPO Reno was announced for RM1999 in Malaysia (a bit expensive, tbh), then came along the ASUS ZenFone 6 with a rather odd Flipping Camera in Valencia starting from ~RM2328, the OnePlus 7 Pro was also launched in Malaysia from RM2999 (no longer the flagship killer, I suppose) and finally, the HONOR 20 series was revealed in London with an affordable price of RM1699 for us. Sweet.

In conjunction with the Ramadan celebration, Lazada along with the partnership with KFC will now offer customers the option to pre-purchase their meals via LazMall. Which can then be picked up at any of the 108 participating KFC outlets, that is selected by the user on KFC’s official website.
