This week, there was a rumour going around online about a possible unlimited Hotlink package plan. Today, Maxis have just confirmed with us today that this is indeed true and it's called the Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited plan. As the name suggests, it offers unlimited Internet as well as unlimited network calls from as low as just RM3 per day.

Maxis has officially announced that they will be permanently increasing the internet data for all Maxis postpaid plans by up to 300% without increasing the price of the plan. It is best to note that the upgrade will be rolled out from 4 June until 10 June 2020, while those who have received it will be notified via SMS.

The report covers all major mobile network operators in Malaysia including Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U-Mobile, Unifi, and Yes. While MCMC have officially stated that the free 1GB Internet data provided by Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile will only be available in between 8AM - 6PM, many users thought that time limit is a bit of a letdown. Moreover, this applies to both postpaid and prepaid customers but not to Yoodo. Thanks to one of our readers, it has come to our attention that Yoodo users can use their free 1GB Internet data any time and anywhere. 

Just last Wednesday, our Prime Minister Muhyiddin officially extended the Movement Control Order (MCO) for everyone's benefit in hopes to minimize the COVID-19 spread. During his second live telecast last Friday, he also mentioned that Malaysians will be receiving their 1GB free Internet data starting from 1 April, but didn't say how. Thankfully, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) released an official statement about this a few hours ago so here's the full breakdown.

Now, it's also giving all its customers some extra data to use while being stuck at home.
