Today, as Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin gave his third announcement about the Movement Control Order (MCO) update, we finally know our fate. As many of us suspected, the MCO did indeed extended once again until XX April 2020. While that may be bad news to some, there is some good news as well.

Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the police will begin to issue RM1,000 compound notices to those disobey the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the compound notice would have to be settled within two weeks at any Health Ministry office.

While waiting for another announcement regarding the extension of MCO to happen on 10 April, Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia has announced that all Kuala Lumpur areas that got infected with the Covid-19 are now labelled as red zones.

According to Bernama, it seems that any customers from other banks that withdraw money from any of the 2900 Maybank ATMs nationwide, will not be required to pay the RM1 withdrawal fee starting from 6 April 2020 until the end of the Movement Control Order (MCO) order. While there is no information on when the end of the MCO will be, we do know that the government will announce whether it will be extended on 10 April 2020.

Just last Wednesday, our Prime Minister Muhyiddin officially extended the Movement Control Order (MCO) for everyone's benefit in hopes to minimize the COVID-19 spread. During his second live telecast last Friday, he also mentioned that Malaysians will be receiving their 1GB free Internet data starting from 1 April, but didn't say how. Thankfully, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) released an official statement about this a few hours ago so here's the full breakdown.
