Now that Microsoft has launched the Surface Duo tablet, its attention turns to other new products. The Xbox Series S that was announced yesterday is one of them, but it seems that the company may also be working on a new Surface laptop with a clamshell design.

For those who have been wanting to know the price of next-generation gaming consoles, you may have noticed that Microsoft has announced the price of the Xbox Series X today. By packing a lot of advanced features, the Series X will cost 299 USD (~RM1,246). Besides the price, the detailed information of the console hasn't been shared yet. However, someone has leaked the promo video of the console before Microsoft proceeds to reveal more.

While Microsoft is in the middle of a negotiation with TikTok, the latest news is that Twitter Inc may be interested in acquiring the company as well. According to Reuters, the information was shared by two anonymous people on this matter as Twitter have already approached ByteDance, TikTok's parent company.

As the next generation of video game console war shapes up, industry experts and analysts are already discussing how the new consoles would perform. Both consoles have their advantages, but it seems some people expect Sony to do better. Specifically, a recent forecast suggests that the Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) will sell more units.

In case you've been hiding under the rock, Microsoft is indeed in talks with TikTok on acquiring the company. To briefly recap the situation, the US President Donald Trump has ordered TikTok to be sold to Microsoft and the deal must be done by 15 September 2020 or else it will be banned in the country.

Now, Microsoft has officially confirmed that they will proceed to acquire the platform which belongs to ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok.

Microsoft has been relatively tight-lipped when it comes to its games streaming platform - Project xCloud. But in the latest official post by Head of Xbox Phil Spencer, the launch window for the service was finally revealed. Project xCloud is expected to launch later in September 2020.

Now that Sony has unveiled the PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Microsoft the Xbox Series X, many have started to speculate on the price of the next-gen console. For example, it's believed that the PS5 will be priced at 499 Euros (~RM2406) or 399 Euros (~RM1924) for the variant without a Blu-ray drive. While people may be relieved that it's may not be priced higher, but some experts believe that prices of games could increase instead.

Rumours of a smaller next-gen console from Microsoft has been around for some time. Allegedly, the console bearing the codename 'Lockhart' was said to be a less powerful variant of the Xbox Series X that lacks the Blu-ray drive. Earlier today, a new hint of the console's existence was leaked online.
