We don’t know how more obvious you can be but the new teaser for Samsung’s upcoming 9 February 2022 Galaxy Unpacked all but confirms that there will be an S Pen for a Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphone. That phone is most likely the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G which is expected to come with tech specs that include either the Exynos 2200 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 8/12GB of RAM and 128 ~ 512GB of storage.

Just a few hours ago, Dr TM Roh, the President & Head of MX Business Samsung Electronics released an editorial about the company's direction in 2022. There are a couple of things that are worth mentioning in the editorial, namely the next Unpacked and some hints of the Galaxy Note series fate.

The Samsung Galaxy Note series is said to make a comeback next year after the company decided not to release the Galaxy Note 21 to boost the Z Fold3's sales. Since it's coming back, the rumours are back online, with the latest claiming that the upcoming Note's S Pen will feature a wireless camera.

If there's one thing different about Samsung this year, it would be the clear absence of a Galaxy Note series device. Rumours on the subject have been vastly contradicting. But the latest piece of news seems to be the final nail in the coffin for the series.

During the MWC 2021, not only announcing the One UI Watch and five years of updates for some devices, but Samsung has also stated that more upcoming smartphones will get S Pen support. It is not that surprising as the firm has already done it with the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Earlier, it was reported that Samsung will not present any new Galaxy Note devices this year. As the company has brought the S Pen support to Galaxy S21 Ultra and the upcoming Galaxy Fold 3 is expected to ship with one, fans are worried that they might never see new Note devices again. Surprisingly, the latest rumour has arrived by saying that the Galaxy Note series will make a comeback next year.

In the last few months, there have been sporadic rumours about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Many believe that this year's model will come with S-Pen support, while the Galaxy Note series would be discontinued as a result. In fact, industry sources claim that a foldable with S-Pen will launch within 2021.

In case you missed the Samsung Galaxy S21 series launch last week, it was also announced that the Galaxy S21 Ultra can support an S Pen. In fact, there would be two S Pen models which are the vanilla type and the S Pen Pro. Although there's no price tag yet for the separated accessory in Malaysia, here's what we know.

Today, Samsung has finally confirmed that their highly-anticipated Galaxy S21 series will be launching on 14 January with Galaxy Fit2 as a pre-register gift.
