Today, Touch 'n Go Group, via TNG Digital has launched GOprotect. It's a new platform where TNG eWallet users can purchase various types of insurance offerings. Currently, GOprotect features six insurance products such as WalletSafe, SafeTrip, SafeHome, CarInsure, CI Insure and MotoInsure. 

Touch ’n Go eWallet has reminded users to link their eWallet account to their device by 3 April 2023. This is because the fintech platform will be implementing TapSecure, a new one-tap transaction approval function on that date.

Previously, we reported that several highways in Malaysia will allow users to pay tolls using debit and credit cards this September. Now, the Works Ministry has announced that another 5 highways have agreed to participate in the open payment system.

Previously, we reported on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s promise to reconsider Touch ’n Go’s monopoly and how users may soon be able to pay for public transport using debit and credit cards. Well, another major announcement was made in regard to breaking Touch ’n Go’s monopoly, whereby users of 5 highways will be able to pay tolls using debit and credit cards by this September.

Anthony Loke, Malaysia’s Minister of Transportation recently announced that all public transportation will apply an open payment system so you may be able to use credit and debit cards to pay for Public Transportation. Previously, you could only use tokens or Touch N’ Go cards to make digital payments for Public Transportation like buses, LRT, MRT and Komuter.

A few hours ago, Astro AWANI released a video regarding Prime Minister Anwar on his views on Touch 'n Go. As the title says, Anwar promises to pay attention to the issues of the company. 

Touch ’n Go eWallet recently launched ‘Scan QR in/out Parking’ in Malaysia which gives users a more seamless payment experience at selected parking sites. Announced via a Facebook post, read on to find out more regarding the new feature.

Today, the Touch ‘n Go Group via TNG Digital Sdn Bhd just launched two new insurance products, CI Insure and MotoInsure on the Touch ‘n Go eWallet. This initiative by the company is to envision the app as a one-stop insurance hub, where its customers can purchase insurance for various purposes, said Alan Ni, CEO of TNG Digital. 

Touch ’n Go eWallet and foodpanda Malaysia today announced that they have entered into a new partnership that would create a synergistic payment ecosystem. In other words, Touch ’n Go eWallet users can now enjoy the convenience of foodpanda’s delivery services nationwide starting today.

Previously, we reported that the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) had recommended Touch ’n Go (TnG) implement several immediate actions to resolve issues arising from its services. TnG subsequently implemented a few initiatives following an engagement session with the KPDN special task force but now, the ministry has announced that they are still insufficient.
