    Celcom, Digi and U Mobile users can now make App Store, Apple Music and iTunes purchases from their telco accounts

    If you're an Apple and CelcomDigi or U Mobile user, you're in luck because they've announced that all subscribers can now pay for purchases in the App StoreApple Music and iTunes directly from their mobile phone account. This applies to both postpaid and prepaid users.

    U Mobile has teamed up with the MinesKi Events Team and Logitech G to launch the Malaysia Esports League or MESL as the biggest Dota 2 League in Malaysia with an RM500000 prize pool split to the champion and top 16 teams. If the winning gamers are U Mobile users then they could win an additional up to RM50000 cash prize with U Mobile's 'For The Win' campaign, which could go to the 2nd or 3rd place teams if they aren't. Starting on 2 September 2017 until before CNY 2018 it is available to both Peninsular and East Malaysian teams of 3 gamers by registering at MESL.my in the coming weeks.     U Mobile releases official statement on their future departure from Maxis' RAN share agreement

    As most of you already heard, U Mobile will be terminating their network agreement with Maxis. It will take effect by the end of next year (2018) on December, reason being that the company wants to focus on expanding their own network instead piggybacking. U Mobile has also assured their customers that the change in network won’t affect their data usage dramatically. Anyway, below is the official statement by U Mobile:

    U Mobile had just launched booKu, a service that enables U Mobile subscribers to purchase e-books and e-magazines using their mobile plans. This service is in partnership with four digital publishers, namely SPH Magazines, Pubu eBook, FullAMark and NovelPlus.

    MCMC 2016 Network Performance Results: Maxis has fastest download speeds while DiGi offers lowest lag

    The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) recently measured the network performance and compliance to the Mandatory Standard for Quality of Service (QoS) of local broadband providers from January to November 2016. The report revealed that Maxis offers the fastest download speed throughout Malaysia while DiGi offers the least amount of lag.

    Maxis recorded the fastest average download speeds in 5 out of 6 regions, though, in the central region(which covers Klang Valley and Negeri Sembilan), it was Celcom that has the fastest download speed. DiGi offers the quickest response time(Low average network latency), which basically meant "less lag" which is important in online gaming, streaming and teleconferencing.

    Today, U Mobile has announced their partnership with leading global mobile commerce solution provider DOCOMO Digital in Malaysia, to allow their customers to purchase various digital services online via their mobile phone plan. With this, U Mobile customers will be able to make purchase of digital services from platforms such as Google Play Store even if they do not own a credit or debit card.
