Based on a statement by threatpost.com, it seems that there is a flaw on WhatsApp which causes the user’s phone number to show up on Google search. Not only that, WhatsApp users will not be able to stop their phone numbers to show up via the wa.me domain, which is also owned by Facebook.

Yesterday, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) announced on their Twitter account that they will start surveying Malaysians soon starting on 5 June until 31 December 2020. The survey is said to be random appearing on WhatsApp and it is regarding the usage of mobile phones, e-commerce and consumer satisfaction rate on mobile broadband and mobile services.

Based on a statement by wabetainfo.com, it seems that it could be possible to share contact info via QR code on WhatsApp very soon. While there is no official information in regards to when the feature will be available to the public, a beta version of WhatsApp with the QR scanning feature is currently available starting from today onwards.

Back at the end of April, Facebook introduced Messenger Rooms where people are allowed to have a video call up to 50 people. That's pretty cool and all considering that most people have Messenger already so they don't need to register at all, and it seems that WhatsApp users will be able to access into that soon!
