On 5 October, the latest Windows update will roll out and offer several new features and functionalities to users. Windows 11 will bring Microsoft Teams integration, a new design with an updated Start menu, Snap Layouts, Groups, Desktops for improved multitasking, an improved Microsoft Store app, and Android app support. Now, there might be a new thing to be excited about after the company acquired a browser-based video editing tool, Clipchamp.

In September 2020, Nvidia had announced its plan to acquire Arm from SoftBank for about 40 billion USD (~RM164 billion). However, Qualcomm has jumped out of the middle of nowhere recently and offered to invest in the semiconductor company rather than purchase it outright, in the event Arm rejects the deal offered by Nvidia.

Clubhouse is sure quite an influential app these days. It has impacted other social media brands to copy the same feature but to no avail. So what did Twitter do? Well, it has been reported that the company was interested in acquiring Clubhouse for $4 billion!

In this short announcement, it seems that multiple sources have reported that tech giant Microsoft is interested in acquiring Discord. Nothing is concrete yet, but the acquisition could go over $10 billion. Sources also reported that other companies are interested but Microsoft is the favourite here.

Right after US President's executive order on banning TikTok, it was also reported that Microsoft was interested in acquiring the company from ByteDance. After a few weeks, we had to wait if the acquisition was successful or not but it turned out that Microsoft is no longer acquiring TikTok due to the rejection by ByteDance.

In case you've been hiding under the rock, Microsoft is indeed in talks with TikTok on acquiring the company. To briefly recap the situation, the US President Donald Trump has ordered TikTok to be sold to Microsoft and the deal must be done by 15 September 2020 or else it will be banned in the country.

As some of you have already heard, the rumours of iflix being bought over by Tencent has come to light. It is now official according to Reuters, saying that the reason why the company bought iflix is for its "content, technology and resources," in order to expand to the Southeast Asia market.

Google has officially announced today, that they have recently acquired FitBit for USD2.1 billion(~RM8.75 billion) with plans for the newly acquired company to produce wearables in the future. With all that said, future wearables by Google will come with Wear OS installed instead of FitBit’s very own operating system that’s currently used most of the Fitbit wearables out there in the market.
