With the hopes of looking past its Superfish blunder, Lenovo seems to be focusing on its rather well-received mobile arm. Just a couple of days ahead of COMPUTEX 2015, the company has announced a new smartphone that is called the Lenovo Smart Cast at the Lenovo Tech World Conference. As its name suggests, the Smart Cast has a focus-free laser projector that allows any surface to be turned into a “touchscreen”. The focus-free laser allows the Smart Cast to project an image onto any surface, regardless of depth, angle or even if the image is on a different plane. This translates into the ability to project not only a touchscreen, but presentations, movies and even games. As of the time of writing, there are no tech specs or other features much less any Malaysia release dates or pricing details, but stay tuned as it could come up again soon.

ASUS Malaysia recently teased that a new ZenFone smartphone could be coming to Computex 2015 with the hint that it is the front of the phone. Incidentally, it shows a front camera and dual LED flash, which when combined with the spaces in the teaser image, could mean that this will be the ASUS ZenFone Selfie. No tech specs or features yet, but we assume that since the standard front camera is 5MP already, this version will either be 8MP or 13MP. The rear camera will likely be the same 13MP PixelMaster camera while the screen looks to be the same 5.5-inch size. Since most selfie takers tend to be the younger crowd we assume that this display will be in 720p HD and perhaps a full HD 1080p resolution for the richer crowd. Other tech specs will likely be the same 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor and 4GB RAM in the current ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML smartphone. No specific Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but we expect it to be soon as even the ASUS Malaysia Facebook page is showing the teaser image above.

Rather than keep Cortana on Windows devices, Microsoft have officially announced that their voice command app or "phone companion app" will be made available for both Android and iOS devices. Android devices already have Google Now, while iOS has Siri, but Microsoft will soon have Cortana available at the relevant app stores. According to Microsoft, Cortana will also be coming to Windows 10, which should make it semi seamless even if you're using a non-Windows device for your Windows powered computer. Cortana provides the same features as the two aforementioned apps, but works better with Microsoft apps like OneNote, OneDrive and so forth, so if you use those a lot, it may be worth your while. No Malaysia release dates on when it will be available at the relevant app stores but we assume that it will roll out with Windows 10, which is expected in June 2015 and afterwards.

In line with Sony's 6-month release schedule for their devices, they have rather quietly announced their new Sony Xperia Z3+ smartphone. This time around, the main changes are the processor, front camera and the storage as the Xperia Z3+ packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens and 32GB storage. Other tech specs and features remain nearly identical though, but the new Xperia Z3+ is slightly slimmer and thinner, resulting in a slightly smaller 2930 mAh battery. The design remains the same however along with the IP68 water resistant certification. The tech specs that have also remained the same include the 20.7MP Sony Exmor rear camera and 5.2-inch full HD Triluminous display. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but we expect it to appear soon.

Red and gold are already a pretty nice colour combination but this time around we finally get the official announcement for the Iron Man Samsung Galaxy S6 edge in conjunction with the recent Avengers 2: Age of Ultron movie. Featuring the aforementioned colours with the gold accents for the metal parts, this version of the Galaxy S6 Edge certainly looks nice and the bundled wireless charger has also been rebranded to look like an arc reactor (that thing in the center of Iron Man's chest). Tech specs and features should remain the same as the 64GB storage version though, but we expect the price to be a bit higher than the current retail pricing of RM3599. You do get an Iron Man theme, box and extra back casing though. For now, there are still no Malaysia release dates as it will be going Korea first on 27 May 2015, followed by China and Hong Kong in June. Check out the official unboxing video in this article.
