Joining the OPPO Reno series as a mid-range device is the OPPO Reno Z. Instead of the infamous shark fin pop up selfie camera on the front, this device rocks a waterdrop notch instead. Other than that, the design of the device remains the same as the other Reno devices and comes with some cool features and tech specs.

Vivo Malaysia has announced that the Vivo Y17 which is fitted with a rather large 5000mAh battery capacity, and a lower memory configuration of 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM will be officially available in Malaysia, starting from RM799. Not only that, with every purchase of the device, customers will be entitled to an LED Table Lamp courtesy of Vivo. It is expected to be available at all Vivo authorised dealers, distributors across Malaysia as well as their online store and it will come in both Mineral Blue and Mystic Purple colour scheme.

Over the past few days, there were quite a few smartphone launches. First, the OPPO Reno was announced for RM1999 in Malaysia (a bit expensive, tbh), then came along the ASUS ZenFone 6 with a rather odd Flipping Camera in Valencia starting from ~RM2328, the OnePlus 7 Pro was also launched in Malaysia from RM2999 (no longer the flagship killer, I suppose) and finally, the HONOR 20 series was revealed in London with an affordable price of RM1699 for us. Sweet. 

Things are seemingly grim for Huawei. Ever since Google announced that it will stop its services for Huawei, Qualcomm and Intel will also cut ties with them. But all is not lost, as of recent news, not everyone is on the same page with the US Government. As the popularity of Battle Royale modes grow on mobile, it’s not surprising that Activision has hopped on the bandwagon. Similar to the popular Call of Duty 4 on PC, the mobile version of the game, Call of Duty: Mobile has been announced to have a battle royale mode. Call of Duty: Mobile beta has only started a few days ago in some countries and has shown a lot of promise. The Battle Royale mode has been hyped up and for good reason - Call of Duty 4’s Battle Royale mode,  Blackout was a huge hit at release and we may be seeing many features from the PC version of the game ported into mobile.

WhatsApp has announced that starting next year, users will begin to see ads in the messaging app on both Android and iOS. The first ads will be implemented into WhatsApp status, a feature similar to Instagram stories on the app.

The Samsung Galaxy A70 was recently launched and now it is about to get a reboot on the Samsung Galaxy A70S. No word of what new features and upgrades have been heard of but we what we have heard is that the mid-range phone may be Samsung’s first device to utilize their 64MP sensor.

The Honor 20 has been officially announced in Malaysia starting from RM1699 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage variant, and it will be available at all Honor authorised dealers and distributors across Malaysia very soon.
