While rumours about a more affordable Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite have already circulated, supposedly due to a cheaper LCD screen, other tech specs have leaked out regarding the Note 3 Lite. This includes screen size which may be 5.7-inches along with a lower-end 8MP rear camera as opposed to the 13MP rear camera on the current Samsung Galaxy Note 3. According to some other rumours, Samsung has already started production of the Galaxy Note 3 Lite, with the production goal to be 1.5 million Note 3 Lite units by the end of February 2014. Other features that we could see being used in the Note 3 Lite is the PLS-LCD screen along with a metal mesh layer, both of which are Samsung technologies that are designed to reduce production costs while enabling a more sensitive stylus without having to use a digitizer. Rumours indicate that we could see the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite at the MWC Expo 2014 which is due at the end of February 2014. However, do remember that this is also a rumour so take everything mentioned here with a generous pinch of salt.

Having the ability to see like a cyborg seems to be all the rage as Google Glass and other smart glasses continue to emerge. Going for a similar concept of Augmented Reality (AR) overlay but this time with ski goggles is the Oakley Airwave 1.5. It isn't the first in the series as this new update offers many improvements over the original. This includes a better 1.0GHz dual-core OMAP 4 ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB and 2GB RAM options and built-in WiFi and GPS. According to Oakley, the new additions help to increase smoothness and extend battery life to 5 to 6 hours despite the battery being the same 1200 mAh. Since it is a ski goggle, it lets you check altitude speed, airtime, jump distance, jump height and vertical descent data while skiing. But with the new improvements users can now check Facebook messages and access smartphone music playlists. The Oakley Airwave 1.5 is priced at $650 (RM2076) and while we don't have any ski jumps here, similar sports like skateboarding or other extreme sports could probably see some use in it's capabilities.

According to these reports, Apple is looking at 1.3-inch, 1.4-inch and 1.5-inch display sizes while "a prototype of the 1.5-inch has already been made". Unfortunately, no other tech specs or features were mentioned and we again have no Malaysia release dates or pricing for the Apple iWatch. In a move that will likely delight most Nikon 1 owners, Nikon have relased the 1 Nikkor 32mm lens. While it does offer a reasonable 86mm equivalent distance what makes it really special is that it is an extremely fast telephoto lens at f/1.2 aperture. This should make it perfect for low-light shots, action shots and portraits that don't have optimum background lighting or are a bit soft.
