Smartphone game maker Klab, Inc has made a deal with Microsoft that may soon allow us to play Xbox and Windows PC games (under the Microsoft banner) to be ported over to iOS and Android devices. According to rumours, these games may soon be available for iOS and Android later in 2013. So far the first game scheduled to come from this deal is rumoured to be "Age of Empires" and it is expected to be free to play (or perhaps just the first few levels).
While Windows Phone does have access to Xbox games in general, the selection of titles for the Windows Phone platform is relatviely limited. If this deal does go through well, and there are a whole bunch of things which can go wrong (too difficult to port over, bad port, too much like an emulator etc.) then we can expect even more games from other platforms or brands perhaps making their way to iOS and Android devices in the not so far future. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted.[ Read More ] -

While Samsung have already created an Android powered digital camera in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Camera, it hasn't really had as much of an impact as hoped. While the pseudo-DSLR introduced Android smartphone connectivity and other functions for a digital camera, the camera itself didn't come up to par, often being compared to a hyped-up point-and-shoot. With the arrival of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom, there isn't really that much of a reason to go for the Samsung Galaxy Camera, which is why this rumour about an Android powered Samsung Galaxy NX sounds so plausible.

Right before Google I/O, quite a few people were expecting that the good folks at Google would be releasing Android 4.3 and a new Google device or device refresh. Turns out that everything else got updated and the device in question was basically a Samsung Galaxy S4 with stock Android. This has therefore started new rumours, one of which being that we may be seeing a refresh of the Google Nexus 7 tablet and that it may come with Android 4.3.

While Intel have already dominated the Non-Android based laptop and hybrid computer market, it has yet to do much in Android-based markets. This is mostly because of the rather high-price most of its laptops and tablets have compared to the normal ARM-powered Android-based tablet or notebook.
In a move to solve this, Intel VP Paul Otellini was quoted as saying that $200 touchscreen laptops would be coming soon in the next couple of months. Intel Executive VP Dadi Perlmutter was also quoted as saying that these devices would most likely be Android based laptops using Intel Atom processors. For the more resource needy, Perlmutter said that there would also be Android laptops and hybrids using Intel Core processors but range from $399 to $499.[ Read More ] -

HTC has decided to get all hippity-hop happy with its latest smart phone, the HTC Sensation XE. It's a refreshed version of the brilliant HTC Sensation that packs Beats audio tech, as well as a faster processor and improved battery life.
HTC Sensation XE: Beats by Dr. Dre
The HTC Sensation XE comes with a set of in-ear Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. Plug these boisterous bad-boys in, and the phone switches to a different audio profile, doing some clever processing trickery to tune your music specifically to the earphones.
We suspect that will boil down to making your tunes sound a bit bassier, but we're ready to be impressed -- some existing Beats audio products have delivered better audio quality than their garish colour schemes would suggest, so maybe this mobile can give your tunes a little extra punch.[ Read More ]
